“As an adult you don’t receive mail, you get bills”
Inspired by the excitement children still get when there’s mail.
The original was sold to a work friend of mine. He said that it reminded of growing up with his mother in England. It was sentimental for him, the milk bottle is what got him. That right there is what I love so much about art. To me, I thought it was a cool scene no emotional connection for me. I saw a photo online and was like, wow that would look cool in charcoal with fish heads. But to him, he teared up. His mother passed away and it was a sweet reminder of his past. Poetry.
