It’s not peer pressure, it’s just your turn

Art Juice.

“Let us drink, drink until thine asses are drunk!”

Like many creative people before me, I enjoy, to an addicting degree, liquor. I call it my art juice. Some of my best ideas have come from my second (maybe third or fourth if I am being honest) glass of Scotch whiskey. Life can get so stressful with all the “have to’s” of the day to day. Liquor allows my brain to stop overthinking and just exist in the here and now. Most of the time, I am creating at night, given my crazy hectic day schedule with work, my hubby, the horse, and developing the property I purchased.

The night is mine though. With a couple fingers of scotch (Fine! Maybe four or five), my charcoal, and endless possibilities, I create. I have a specific Scotch that I prefer to drink when I am in the mood to create my more edgy stuff. Laifrogh. It is the most flavorful Scotch I have ever had in my life. It tastes like a smoky bog, going to see man about a horse, and has a smooth burn that unfurls into velvet at the end. Perfection.

It seems to me, that there is a limitless amount things that factor into creating art. Some artists have to use a particular brand of brushes or paints, some of us need absolute silence, and some of us need Scotch.

Buy it, and become creative! Or don’t. Either way I really don’t care.
